Senior Instructional Designer

Public Sector People are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer for a temporary six-month engagement within the Corporate Services - Learning team.

Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the primary purpose of this role is to support organisational learning outcomes by designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing engaging, fit-for-purpose eLearning programs and learning resources.

Working collaboratively with subject matter experts and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create effective and impactful learning solutions.
  
Here are the details of the role:

• Role title: AO5 Instructional Design – A06 applications will be considered
• Pay: From $68 - $83 per hour + 12% super
• Location: Brisbane, Fortitude Valley 
• Client: QLD State Gov
• Start date: ASAP start
• Contract length: Initial 6 months + Extension / Direct appointment
• Hours: 37.5hours per week Monday to Friday – two days from home

  
The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate learning by developing a range of engaging, fit-for-purpose, e-learning materials and other learning resources founded on adult learning principles and theories, in collaboration with subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
  
The Instructional Designer will be required to:

• Design, develop, maintain and update eLearning programs and digital learning resources using Articulate 360 and associated learning technologies.
• Create engaging and effective learning solutions that align with organisational objectives, adult learning principles, and identified learner needs.
• Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to analyse content, extract critical information, and translate complex concepts into learner-centred training solutions.
• Develop learning strategies and recommend appropriate delivery methods, including eLearning, blended learning, virtual learning, face-to-face workshops, videos, job aids, and performance support resources.
