An exceptional opportunity exists for an accomplished Senior Financial Accountant to join a leading national commercial law firm headquartered in Adelaide.
  
This is a career defining opportunity for a high performing finance professional who thrives in a fast paced, professional environment and enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.
  
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the firm's financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
This role is ideally suited to an ambitious CA qualified professional who has built a strong technical foundation within a Big 4 accounting firm and has subsequently demonstrated success within a complex commercial environment.
  
The Opportunity
Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Management of month-end and year-end close processes.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements and taxation obligations, including BAS and FBT.
• Annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash flow management.
• Financial analysis, performance reporting and business insights for senior leadership.
• Analysis of profitability and key business drivers, including the development of performance dashboards.
• Preparation of executive and board-level reporting packs.
• Driving process improvement, systems optimisation and reporting enhancements.
• Providing support, coaching and development to a Graduate Accountant.
• Building strong relationships with Partners and key stakeholders across the firm.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA ANZ qualification (essential).
• Experience gained within a Big 4 accounting firm.
• At least 3+ years' commercial experience following your move from public practice.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Excellent understanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A proactive, commercially focused and results-driven approach.
