What You'll Do
- Lead FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to support business performance.
- Develop financial models and reporting tools to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Partner with operational and functional leaders to provide financial guidance and meaningful business insights.
- Support long-term financial planning and evaluate financial performance against established objectives.
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support process improvements that strengthen financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
- Manage, mentor, and develop finance professionals while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and other finance projects as required.
What You'll Bring
- CPA designation or another relevant professional accounting designation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Significant progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and business partnering, ideally at the Senior Manager level.
- Strong experience within the utility or another regulated industry.
- Experience in the water utility sector is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop finance professionals.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
