Public Sector People are working with a council in Western Sydney to recruit for TWO Payroll Officers on a short-term basis.

Initial 3 month contract
$45.79ph + super
Flexible working available

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly payroll accurately and within required timeframes
  • Review and validate timesheets, payroll variations and leave applications
  • Enter and maintain payroll data within payroll systems
  • Process employee leave applications and monitor leave balances
  • Ensure sick leave applications comply with relevant policies
  • Assist with payroll reporting and end-of-month reconciliations

Essential Requirements:
  • Previous payroll experience within a large public sector or similarly complex organisation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:
  • Understanding of the Local Government State Award
  • UKG or Payroll Metrics experience
