Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the Head of Digital Platforms – Cyber Security, Core Infrastructure & Connectivity is responsible for the strategic direction, performance and ongoing evolution of the organisation's cyber security, infrastructure, connectivity and digital identity platforms.

The role ensures platform services are secure, resilient and fit for purpose, enabling delivery teams and business functions to operate effectively while supporting broader organisational objectives. Providing leadership across platform strategy, architecture, operations and continuous improvement, the position is accountable for ensuring platform capabilities remain aligned with enterprise priorities, technology direction and future business needs.

Working closely with business, technology and operational leaders, the Head of Digital Platforms – Cyber Security, Core Infrastructure & Connectivity will drive platform adoption, promote standardisation and automation, and ensure critical technology services are delivered in a reliable, scalable and sustainable manner. The role also plays a key part in strengthening cyber resilience, operational readiness and technology governance, supporting the organisation's ability to operate securely and effectively in an evolving digital landscape.


Essential Skills and Expertise

• Significant leadership experience overseeing cyber security, infrastructure, connectivity or platform engineering functions within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience developing and evolving enterprise technology platforms that are secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to business objectives.
• Strong understanding of cyber security operations, digital identity, incident response, disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with executives and senior stakeholders across business, operational and technology functions to achieve shared outcomes.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of technology governance, risk management and security frameworks within highly regulated or operationally critical environments.
• Commercial and strategic acumen, with experience balancing platform investment, operational performance and long-term sustainability.
• Utilities, critical infrastructure or other operationally complex industry experience will be highly regarded.
• Degree qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required background checks or security clearances.
