About the Opportunity Join the North West Maternity Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality care to women and families across Tasmania’s North West.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse maternity service, including antenatal, birthing, postnatal and community-based care, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Service North West Maternity Services operates primarily from the North West Regional Hospital, with services extending across:

The service includes:

• 4-bed birthing suite
• 20-bed inpatient ward
• 8-bed Special Care Nursery
• Antenatal and postnatal services
• Lactation, allied health and perinatal mental health support

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality nursing or midwifery care
• Support women and families across the maternity journey
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Contribute to patient education and discharge planning
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with current AHPRA registration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work across a rotating shift roster
• Commitment to patient-centred care
• Adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment

Salary & Benefits

• $80,524 – $109,175 + 12% super (pro rata)
• Salary packaging: up to $9,010 + $2,650 meal entertainment
• Postgraduate allowance up to 10%
• Relocation support:
  • Up to $15,000 (international)
  • Up to $10,000 (interstate)

Additional Detail

• permanent full-time and part-time roles available
• Up to 76 hours per fortnight (negotiable)
• Fully rotational shift work
• Tasmanian Working with Children Registration required
