What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with engineering leaders across software, hardware, vehicle engineering, and product teams to develop detailed roadmaps aligned with our strategic goals.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of project phases.
- Drive issue resolution by working with product and engineering teams to triage problems, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Harden our software and hardware systems, proactively identifying potential risks and mitigating them.
- Validate the safety of our autonomous systems, prioritizing customer safety as our highest goal.
- Build executive presentations to communicate program status, risks, and accomplishments clearly and effectively.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and robotics teams to ensure smooth deployment across multiple stations, including setting up metrics, troubleshooting issues, and translating findings into engineering requirements.
Required Skills:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting.
- Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of software development processes and familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Gantt charts, or risk matrices.
- Strong ability to build relationships with senior leaders and technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear, concise updates tailored to diverse audiences.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries, particularly working with software teams.
- Hands-on experience with hardware integration and manufacturing lines.
- Familiarity with robotics deployment, metrics setup, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of production processes and debugging technical issues in manufacturing environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least 6 years working in engineering or program management roles within high-tech or manufacturing sectors.
Other Requirements:
- Location: Hybrid in Foster City, CA (at least 3 days onsite per week).
- Travel within the Bay Area is required.
- Employment Type: W2 only.
- Duration: 6+ months with an ASAP start.
- Pay Rate: $115/hr, with a 50% markup fee.
