Join a dynamic team at the forefront of global financial transformation as an Indirect Tax Implementation Lead. In this crucial role, you will spearhead the implementation of innovative tax software solutions, collaborating across functions to optimize tax workflows and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Your expertise will directly influence the expansion of our client’s global footprint, driving efficiency and compliance in complex indirect tax environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of new indirect tax technology, including Fonoa, transitioning from legacy systems like OneSource.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and external service providers, to configure systems, set up tax codes, and support UAT testing.
- Develop and document process workflows, onboarding questionnaires, and tax compliance procedures.
- Partner with financial systems teams to manage API integrations, NetSuite onboarding, and automation initiatives like Alteryx.
- Track project milestones and support the overall success of the tax implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic growth initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in indirect tax functions, including tax software implementation and systems configuration.
- Strong understanding of indirect tax compliance, workflows, and automation.
- Familiarity with workflow tools, process automation, and systems integration.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and process optimization.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Alteryx, Fonoa, or transitioning tax platforms.
- Knowledge of API integration, NetSuite, and broader financial systems.
- Broader tax knowledge beyond indirect tax.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in tax technology implementation or indirect tax roles.
- Previous experience working with global expansion projects is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- This position is hybrid, with flexibility for 2-3 days per week in PA, SF, or NY.
- The role is project-based, lasting approximately 3-5 months, starting within the next 2-3 weeks.
- Remote interviews via Zoom, with a key stakeholder report to Udai Patel.
