About the Role
An opportunity is available for an experienced Concierge Security Officer to join a secure federal government facility located in the Sydney CBD. This is a front‑of‑house role requiring a professional, customer‑focused individual who can balance security responsibilities with high‑quality concierge service in a corporate government environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Provide professional concierge and customer service support at reception
- Manage visitor access, sign‑in processes, and identification checks
- Monitor building entry points and ensure compliance with security protocols
- Conduct bag checks, access control, and patrols as required
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies in line with procedures
- Liaise with building management and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and incident documentation
- Previous experience in concierge, corporate, or government security roles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional presentation and calm demeanour
- Ability to follow strict security and access control procedures
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and the public
- Minimum Baseline Security Clearance (must already be held)
- Valid NSW Security Licence
- Full working rights in Australia
- Ability to pass ongoing suitability and compliance checks
- Work in a secure, professional federal government environment
- CBD location with stable, structured working conditions
- Front‑of‑house role combining security and concierge responsibilities
- Opportunity to be part of a high‑standard, compliant security operation
- This is a 4-week initial engagement with high potential for renewal
- Hours required are 9am-5pm.
- Rates are available above award
