With a growing client base and an ongoing pipeline of work, they're looking to welcome an enthusiastic Accountant to their team.

The Opportunity

Working across a diverse portfolio of clients, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements for small and medium-sized businesses across various entity types
• Preparing and lodging income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
• Preparing and lodging quarterly BAS
• Reconciling Xero files and completing general bookkeeping duties
• Assisting with SMSF accounting and taxation matters, where applicable
• Responding to client accounting and taxation queries and providing practical support
• Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients
• Maintaining accurate client records and assisting with general practice administration as required

You'll enjoy a varied role that combines technical accounting work with direct client interaction, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your skills and become a trusted point of contact for your clients.

About You

We're looking for someone who is technically capable, approachable and genuinely enjoys working with clients.

Ideally, you'll have:

• At least one year of experience in Business Services or Tax Accounting
• Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns across multiple entity types
• Experience with Xero Practice Manager and Xero Ledger
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• A proactive attitude and a genuine focus on client service

Experience with SMSFs and BGL will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Just as importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is keen to learn and takes pride in delivering a great client experience.
