Senior Solicitor/ Associate - Commercial Real Estate Department

Beaumont Legal Recruitment is working with a highly regarded Scottish law firm to recruit an experienced Commercial Real Estate Solicitor for its established Glasgow team.
 
The firm has an excellent reputation for commercial property work and advises an impressive client base that includes retailers, hotel and leisure operators, institutional investors, banks, developers, pension funds and corporate occupiers.
 
You will handle a broad range of complex and high-value transactions spanning investment, property finance, asset management and corporate support.
 
The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on land acquisitions and disposals for developers, trading businesses, pension funds and other commercial clients
• Acting for landlords and tenants on leasing matters across the retail, industrial and office sectors
• Handling agreements for lease relating to new-build premises, assignations, subletting and day-to-day estate management
• Supporting commercial investment purchases and sales
• Advising public bodies on estate strategy, estate management, acquisitions and the disposal of surplus assets
• Providing property support on corporate acquisitions and disposals
• Acting for banks and commercial clients on property finance and secured-lending transactions
• Developing strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the practice

About you
 
You will be a qualified solicitor with at least three years' PQE and a clear commitment to developing your career in commercial property law.
 
The successful candidate will also demonstrate:

• Strong commercial property experience
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
• Confidence in managing a varied transactional caseload
• A proactive, commercially focused approach
• Strong interpersonal, client-care and relationship-building skills
• An interest in business development and growing your own caseload
• Effective organisation, delegation and time-management skills
• Sound commercial judgement and an ability to identify and manage risk
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
