Nesco Resource is seeking a reliable and motivated Print Assistant for a textile manufacturing facility. The Print Assistant supports the printing department by preparing materials, assisting machine operators, monitoring product quality, and ensuring production runs efficiently. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Print Operator with machine setup, operation, and production changeovers.
- Load, unload, and stage fabric rolls, inks, screens, and other production materials.
- Monitor printed fabric for defects, color consistency, and print quality throughout production.
- Remove finished materials and prepare them for the next stage of production.
- Clean printing equipment, screens, workstations, and surrounding work areas.
- Replenish inks, chemicals, and production supplies as needed.
- Assist with machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting under the direction of the Print Operator.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Follow all work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all PPE requirements and company safety policies.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or textile experience is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warm, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely work around moving machinery and equipment.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs
