Carpenters – FIFO Pacific Island Projects

If you're a qualified Carpenter who's tired of the same sites, same commute and same routine — this might be the change you've been looking for.

Tradestaff Global is registering Expressions of Interest from experienced TRADE QUALIFIED CARPENTERS for upcoming commercial construction projects across remote Pacific Island locations. Some projects will move fast. Others are being planned further out. Either way, we're building a pool of proven tradespeople who are ready to go when the time comes.

THE ROLE:

You'll be on the tools on remote island commercial builds, with work spanning:

• Commercial new build construction
• Interior fit-out and finishing
• Maintenance and repairs on existing structures
• General carpentry across multiple project stages
• Working as part of multi-trade teams in remote, logistically complex environments

You'll need to be adaptable 

HOW IT WORKS

These are FIFO-style deployments. You work intensively on site during your rotation, then head home for a proper break before the next swing.
Indicative rotation options include:

• 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• 4 weeks on / 1 week off
• 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off

Expect full-time hours on site — remote project delivery means longer days, up to approximately 80 hours per week depending on project phase.

You work hard while you're on. But the time you get back is yours. Use it to:

• Be present for family — school pickups, holidays, the everyday stuff
• Tackle those home projects you keep pushing back

• Reset before the next swing — not just recover

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• A trade qualification in Carpentry
• Solid commercial construction experience
• Comfort working in remote, high-output environments
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a team-first attitude
• Good fitness — it's hot, humid and physical
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks: medical, drug & alcohol, and police
• Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence

• This is an Expression of Interest — no confirmed start dates at this stage
• You must hold a New Zealand Passport
• You must be permanently based in New Zealand
