Tradestaff Global is seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Solar Technician / Installer for a 3-month temporary contract supporting renewable energy project work in the Pacific Islands
This role will suit someone with practical solar installation experience who is confident working in a site-based environment and comfortable being part of a remote project team.
You’ll be involved in hands-on solar installation work, supporting the delivery of solar systems as part of a wider project team.

Our client is an established Pacific-based construction and infrastructure contractor delivering civil, commercial, utilities and social infrastructure projects in remote island environments.
They have a strong track record of working with local communities, government partners and project teams to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes.
As their presence in the Pacific continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Solar Technician to help support key projects in this evolving region.

- Mounting system installation.
- Running and securing cabling.

- Assisting other trades and site teams where required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for someone with proven solar installation or electrical site experience who is reliable, practical and comfortable working in a remote project environment.
You will need:
- Electrical trade background.
- Current NZ Electrical Practising Licence.
- Solar installation experience.
- Experience working on construction, electrical or renewable energy projects.
- Ability to follow drawings, plans and site instructions.
- Confidence using hand tools and power tools.
- Good understanding of site safety requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in hot and humid conditions.
- Good fitness levels and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility to assist outside your usual duties when required.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- Candidates must be currently and permanently based in New Zealand.
- You must be able to pass pre-employment checks, including medical, drug and alcohol, and police checks.
- A full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence is required.
