Are you an experienced Lead Business Analyst looking for your next opportunity within a complex Queensland Government environment?

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping business analysis practices while working across complex systems, processes and stakeholder groups.

About the Role

As a Lead Business Analyst, you will provide guidance and direction to a team of Business Analysts while delivering high-quality analysis across a range of project and business-as-usual initiatives.

You will be responsible for:

• Establishing and enhancing business analysis standards, processes and best practices, providing guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Leading requirements elicitation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process analysis and existing system analysis.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement, optimisation and increased business efficiency.
• Developing and documenting current-state and future-state business processes, including process flows, use cases and activity diagrams.
• Translating business requirements into clear application functionality, features and requirements within a complex technology environment.
• Building strong relationships with business, technical and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
• Supporting knowledge transfer, training and handover to existing teams, ensuring high-quality documentation is maintained.
• Contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration, integrity and continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for a senior Business Analyst who can operate confidently in a complex environment and bring both strong analytical capability and leadership experience.

You will ideally have:

• 10+ years' experience in Business Analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong experience across requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, process modelling, use case analysis and user story development.
• Demonstrated ability to work across complex systems, business processes and transformation initiatives.
• Experience establishing or improving BA methodologies, standards, tools and best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence and provide guidance to other Business Analysts.
• A structured approach to documentation, knowledge transfer and delivery.
