Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close procedures
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data
• Hands-on payroll experience, including timecard reconciliation, payroll report review, and payroll journal entry preparation
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a deadline-driven setting
• Excellent verbal, written, and Slack communication skills for proactive updates and issue escalation
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive payroll, revenue, and financial data

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with PEO or EOR payroll arrangements, including U.S. and international payroll
• Previous collaboration with organizations like DeWinter or similar
• Knowledge of manual accounting processes and discrepancy research
• Experience coordinating with People teams and external payroll providers

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior professional experience as a senior or lead accountant, ideally with a proven track record of managing accounting tasks independently

• Commitment to approximately 10 to 12 hours per week, flexible within this range
