Software Engineer – Full Stack (Python/React)

A US Semiconductor firm is seeking a Software Engineer – Full Stack (Python/React) to support customer-facing software activities for its products and related software applications.
The role combines full-stack software development, Python backend engineering, software troubleshooting, system-level debugging, and customer support. You will work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to investigate software issues, deliver upgrades and patches, maintain the health of the installed base, and introduce software improvements and new functionality.

Responsibilities:
- Support and manage customer-facing software activities for products and related software applications
- Respond to software escalations and provide technical support for customer sites
- Perform software upgrades, patch installations, and software validation
- Monitor and maintain the health of the software installed base at customer locations
- Analyze software and system logs to investigate, isolate, debug, and resolve technical issues
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and other technical teams to identify root causes and drive issues through to resolution
- Develop and maintain software fixes, enhancements, upgrades, and new features
- Prepare customer-facing technical documentation, software release information, upgrade instructions, and notification packages
- Communicate technical information effectively to customers and internal stakeholders
- Visit customer sites to provide hands-on software support, troubleshooting, installation, and validation
- Support continuous improvement of software applications and customer support processes
- Contribute to web application development across both frontend and backend components

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Practical experience in Python development
- Strong full-stack development experience, including both frontend and backend web application development
- Frontend: 3–5 years of experience with React
- Backend: Experience with Python, preferably Django and/or REST API development
- Basic knowledge and practical experience in web application development
- Basic understanding of database design and relational/database concepts
- Experience with software troubleshooting, debugging, log analysis, and issue investigation
- Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation is preferred

Working Hours: No core hours (Mon-Fri) – Must work 150 hours per month.
