Chef | Pathway to Head Chef | Central Otago

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join an established multi-site hospitality business and grow towards full Head Chef responsibility at one of its Central Otago locations.
You will work in one restaurant, backed by the systems, experience and support of a wider hospitality operation.
The food has a real point of difference.
Think quality New Zealand meats and seafood, seasonal produce, house-made sauces and accompaniments, generous sharing-style dishes and bold, uncomplicated flavours.
At the centre of it is a unique cooking system that brings together different cooking techniques and gives the restaurant its own distinctive style.
You will come in, learn the operation, understand the food, master the cooking system and progressively take greater ownership of the kitchen.
The destination is Head Chef.
As you grow into the role, you will take responsibility across food quality, menu development, food cost, stock, suppliers, rostering, team development, kitchen standards and service.
We are looking for someone who can really cook, stays calm when service gets busy and understands that running a successful kitchen takes more than technical ability.
You will care about consistency, organisation, costs, people and standards.
You might already be the chef others turn to when things get busy. Now you are ready for more responsibility and the opportunity to lead.
