HARKE has partnered with an established Catholic College in regional Victoria, approximately one hour from Melbourne and within easy access of Bendigo, Shepparton and the Macedon region.
The College has been part of its local community for around 40 years and is entering an exciting period of growth as it expands into full senior secondary delivery.
The school offers stable and experienced leadership, with the Principal in place since 2019 and a highly regarded Director of Learning supporting the College’s teaching and learning direction.
About the Role
The College is seeking a Numeracy Leader to join its team from Term 1, 2027.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Mathematics educator or emerging leader to take responsibility for strengthening numeracy practice and outcomes across the College.
The position attracts a $6,326 annual Position of Leadership allowance alongside 5 periods of release time per fortnight to undertake leadership responsibilities.
With the College continuing to expand its senior secondary offering, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to the development of numeracy strategy during an important period of school growth.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of whole-school numeracy strategies.

Support teachers to strengthen numeracy practice across curriculum areas.

Use student achievement data to identify priorities and support improved learning outcomes.

Work closely with the Director of Learning and other curriculum leaders.

Coach and support teachers in effective numeracy teaching practices.

Contribute to curriculum planning and the College’s expanding senior secondary offering.

Promote high expectations for student learning, engagement and achievement.

Maintain strong standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice.
About You
The College is open to experienced Mathematics teachers as well as candidates looking to take the next step into curriculum leadership.
Applicants may be Victorian, interstate or New Zealand-trained, provided they are eligible to obtain VIT registration.
Candidates trained internationally outside English-speaking education systems will generally need at least one year of Australian teaching experience to be considered.

Location
The College is in a well-connected regional Victorian community with good road and rail access, approximately one hour from Melbourne and within reach of Bendigo, Shepparton and the Macedon region.

The 2027 salary scale is subject to the new EBA currently being finalised and is expected to increase.
