In this role, you’ll help produce large concrete mixers and other heavy-duty components used in cement trucks and industrial applications. You’ll weld and assemble parts according to detailed work instructions and blueprints, ensuring strong, high-quality welds that meet production standards. What You’ll Be Doing As a MIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include: Performing MIG welding: Weld components and assemblies per job specifications using gas metal arc welding equipment. Inspecting and reworking welds: Ensure all welds meet quality standards and rework as needed. Reading blueprints and instructions: Follow detailed diagrams and samples to complete each job accurately. Maintaining a clean workspace: Perform general housekeeping and assist with shop upkeep as needed. Collaborating with team members: Support production goals and communicate effectively with leads and supervisors. You will weld for approximately 90% of the shift, with the remaining time spent on general cleaning and shop support. What We’re Looking ForQualifications Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience required. Stick welding experience a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions. Must have your own welding helmet. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision. Skills Attention to Detail: Ensures precision and quality in every weld. Mechanical Aptitude: Understands fabrication processes and equipment operation. Teamwork Communication: Works effectively with others to meet production goals. Fabrication Experience: Ability to produce quality welds using MIG and blueprints.
