This Emergency Medicine opportunity is based in the vibrant city of New Plymouth, offering a relaxed atmosphere with galleries, cafes, festivals, and proximity to world-class surf beaches, ski fields, and scenic walking trails.
This role covers Emergency Departments at two hospitals, working with a diverse population. You’ll have a varied schedule of around 18 shifts every six weeks. As an accredited training hospital, the environment is collegial, with teaching and training opportunities. The ED specialist team of 17 FACEMS is supported by multiple specialties, mid-level providers, junior doctors, and medical students.
Enjoy six weeks of annual leave (pro rata), superannuation, paid indemnity insurance, 10 days CME leave, and expenses. Medical Council of NZ fees are reimbursed and there's a relocation allowance for full-time contracts of 12 months or more.
To apply, you’ll need to be an Emergency Medicine specialist from a comparable health system and eligible for MCNZ provisional vocational registration or locum tenens in the Emergency Medicine scope. We’ll guide you through the registration process and support your end to end relocation!
