The GAM will serve as the primary global point of contact, focusing on enhancing client relationships through strategic management and innovative solutions.
About the Role:
The Global Account Manager will play a crucial role in accelerating sales and revenue across a diverse portfolio. The position involves strategic account planning, managing global client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to exceed client expectations. The GAM will be responsible for developing comprehensive account plans, setting and achieving sales targets, and leading a global virtual team to implement key strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Drive account growth through strategic management and team-based selling.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships across various client business units.
- Develop and execute detailed account plans with clear annual objectives, leveraging the company's portfolio to address client needs.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with key account tools, pricing frameworks, and legal requirements.
- Set and manage annual sales and revenue targets, coordinating with divisions for commercial pricing on global contracts.
- Lead a global virtual team to implement account plans and achieve high service delivery standards.
- Gain a deep understanding of client financial planning, decision-making processes, and purchasing criteria.
- Leverage established relationships to open new opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
- Manage internal stakeholders and ensure effective communication within the virtual account team.
- Travel globally as necessary to meet account management requirements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience managing large global accounts and growing business through strategic and team-based approaches.
- Proven ability in selling both services and products.
- Experience in team-based selling and managing RFP processes.
- Strong strategic and tactical thinking skills, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Experience working internationally and across different cultures.
- Proficiency in building and presenting business cases, with a clear understanding of account-level P&L drivers.
- Fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
