Job Title: General Laborer – Freezer Operations
Location: Brockport, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking General Laborers to support freezer and repackaging operations in a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the consistent flow of product to production lines, staging materials, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting efficient operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in cold environments.

Pay Rate:

• $17.10 – $17.10/hour
  • $1.00/hour Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
  • $2.00/hour Shift Differential for 3rd Shift

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a consistent flow of vegetables and materials to repackaging lines
• Stage and open raw product totes for production use
• Break down and stack empty totes and pallets
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas
• Support line operators and group leaders to keep production running efficiently
• Minimize product waste and downtime through effective material handling
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• No experience required; manufacturing experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working in freezer environments for extended periods
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, move, and handle production materials regularly
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to cold temperatures, noise, and moving equipment
• Must follow all PPE, food safety, and workplace safety requirements at all times
• Overtime opportunities available during peak production periods
