Public Sector People are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Officer to join a collaborative Finance team in a local government organisation.

In this role, you'll play a key part in managing Council's rates, charges and debtor processes while providing outstanding service to customers and supporting the integrity of financial data.

3-month contract based in office. 
Rate is between $40-$47ph + super, dependant on experience and knowledge.
  • Managing rates, property and debtor records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and providing practical, solution-focused advice.
  • Administering rates, charges, pension rebates and debtor accounts.
  • Negotiating payment arrangements and supporting debt recovery activities in line with Council policies.
  • Maintaining accurate financial and customer records while ensuring data integrity.
About You:
  • Local government experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience in revenue, accounts receivable, rates, finance or a similar transactional environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience interpreting policies, legislation or procedures.
  • Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of debt recovery processes, with TechnologyOne experience highly regarded.
