We are looking for a Spring Coiling Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll set up and operate automatic, torsion, and coiling machines to produce high-quality compression, extension, and torsion springs according to customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys precision work and hands-on manufacturing. What You'll Be DoingSet up and operate automatic, torsion, and coiling machines. Read and interpret blueprints and setup charts to determine machine setup requirements. Select and install proper machine attachments, tooling, and wire stock. Verify wire size using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers. Adjust cams, pitch tools, cutters, and other tooling to produce springs that meet blueprint specifications. Perform quality checks using spring testing equipment to verify load and spring rate. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Sharpen cutoff tools and maintain coiling and pitch tools as needed. Recommend blueprint improvements when appropriate. Fabricate tooling attachments, including pitch tools, cams, forming tools, and cutoff tools when necessary. Maintain accountability for raw materials used during production and properly return unused materials. Follow all safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean work area.
