Industrial Maintenance Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues; determine time, equipment, and materials required for repair; perform emergency repairs as needed
  • Inspect, evaluate, and repair a variety of complex stationary and mobile mechanical equipment and facilities
  • Perform maintenance in conformance with OEM recommendations, technical requirements, and department standards
  • Use the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to create, complete, and document work orders; requisition materials as needed
  • Help run an efficient maintenance operation that fulfills operational demands and meets established targets
  • Maintain accurate records/files (electronic and/or hard copy) of job plans, work performed, and materials/supplies used
  • Document breakdowns, including root cause and remedial action, to reduce recurring issues
  • Review critical equipment records to update asset condition and support repair planning
  • Repair, overhaul, or replace malfunctioning equipment and worn/damaged parts
  • Clean, service, and paint equipment, machinery, vehicles, structures, buildings, pipelines, storage tanks, and other assets
  • Service, adjust, and tune equipment such as engines, motors, pumps, valves, control systems, boilers, heat exchangers, and chemical feed systems
  • Perform cutting, fabrication, welding, and brazing using:
    • GMAW, GTAW, SMAW welding
    • Plasma cutting equipment
  • Use and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment
  • Read and interpret specifications, diagrams, manuals, and other technical documentation
  • Design equipment installations/modifications; perform mathematical calculations; prepare schematics/diagrams; determine required supplies/materials
  • Collaborate with staff to identify equipment problems and recommend methods to minimize issues in an operational environment
  • Follow applicable safety procedures, codes, and guidelines
  • Perform confined space entry (CSE) and self-rescue work as required
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) as required
  • Attend training and safety sessions as assigned
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and plant service providers
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications & Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Experience: 3–4 years of relevant maintenance technician experience (mechanical/hydraulics/pneumatics)
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to work professionally with coworkers, supervisors, vendors, and other stakeholders; accept constructive feedback; work independently or as part of a team; prioritize assignments and meet deadlines; maintain reliable attendance and work scheduled shifts
  • Language skills: Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write reports/correspondence/procedures; present information and respond to questions from staff, managers, and technical representatives

Day and Night shifts available
Monday - Friday
6am-4pm or 6pm-6am


Pay:
$30 - $35+ based on experience
