Food Production Packer

Responsibilities

• Pack candy and nut products using automated packaging equipment and prepare finished product for stock or shipment

• Receive and record quantities of goods and materials used for packing

• Ensure sufficient packaging materials, including bags and boxes, are available for production

• Unload product into bins for packaging, dispose of empty containers, and communicate material needs to appropriate team members

• Make basic adjustments to production equipment and monitor machine operation throughout the production process

• Load finished packages into boxes or other containers and tape, stamp, or label them as required

• Load completed containers onto pallets, record quantities packed, and move pallets to designated areas as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all food safety, sanitation, and production procedures

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous packing, production, or food manufacturing experience is helpful

• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to perform basic counting and mathematical calculations and accurately record production quantities

• Ability to safely operate production machinery and follow written and verbal work instructions

• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours, bend and reach repeatedly, and lift containers weighing up to 30 pounds

• Must follow food safety and GMP requirements, including wearing a hairnet and beard net when applicable; jewelry, facial/body piercings, artificial nails, and nail polish are not permitted in production areas

• This position involves regular exposure to nuts and nut-containing products; employees must be able to safely work in this environment

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time

• Pay Rate is $13.75 per hour

• 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• Four 10-hour workdays

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

• Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

• Temp-To-Hire

• Benefits after Probation period
