Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Engineering Technician to join a dynamic team in San Jose, CA. In this hands-on role, you will perform critical testing, debugging, and validation of electronic assemblies in a fast-paced lab environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to ensuring the highest standards of product performance, reliability, and quality.
Required Skills:
- Strong soldering skills, including fine-pitch rework
- Experience with cable harnessing and wiring
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, power supplies, and signal generators
- Hands-on testing, debugging, and documentation of electronic components and assemblies
- Collaborate effectively with design and quality engineers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working with complex electronic systems and complex troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with automated test equipment or scripting for test automation
- Experience with hardware validation and verification processes
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in electronic testing or engineering support
- Associates degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
Other Requirements:
- Onsite presence in San Jose, CA
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to electronic hazards
- No travel required; this is an onsite role
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided
