Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Linux & C++ (Onsite, Westbrook, ME)

Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with embedded software development using C++ on ARM processors.
- Strong background in object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux systems.
- Proficiency in developing and porting QT GUI applications.
- Familiarity with porting code to new compiler environments.
- Ability to read, understand, and modify existing C++ source code and UML specifications.
- Experience with source-level debugging tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems and hardware interfacing.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of complex electromechanical system design.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with kernel driver development and embedded kernels.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, JMP, and SQL for data analysis and visualization.
- Knowledge of motion control systems and automation software.
- Experience with reverse-engineering existing software systems.
- Understanding of software development life cycle in regulated environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of embedded software engineering experience, particularly in medical or similar high-precision fields.
- Proven track record of successfully porting and developing embedded applications.
