About the Role
Our client is looking for an OpenShift Virtualization / KVM Platform Engineer to support and maintain enterprise production environments. You will be responsible for platform administration, virtualization operations, performance optimization, security compliance and automation.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and KVM platforms
  
  
• Perform platform health checks, monitoring and capacity management
  
  
• Handle patching, upgrades and platform lifecycle activities
  
  
• Provision, migrate, optimize and decommission virtual machines
  
  
• Troubleshoot virtualization and performance-related issues
  
  
• Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
  
  
• Manage incidents, changes, problems and root cause analysis
  
  
• Support OpenShift backup and recovery activities
  
  
• Conduct vulnerability remediation and implement CIS hardening
  
  
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible
  
  
• Drive platform stability, operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of relevant infrastructure/platform administration experience
  
  
• Hands-on production experience with:
  
  
  • Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization
    
    
  • Red Hat KVM
    
    
  • RHEL
    
    
  • VM provisioning, migration and performance tuning
    
    
  • OpenShift backup and recovery
    
    
  • Ansible automation
    
    
  • CIS hardening
    
    
• Experience in enterprise or managed services environments
  
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Good understanding of networking and storage fundamentals
  
  
• Exposure to Windows Server, Active Directory and HPE DL Servers is advantageous
  
  
• Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  
  
• Good communication and customer service skills
  
  
• Comfortable travelling to different customer sites when required
