A community-focused healthcare organization in southeastern Colorado is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care and assist with emergency department coverage.
This position offers a broad scope of practice and the opportunity to care for patients across the lifespan. The incoming physician will join an experienced rural healthcare team committed to expanding access to high-quality care in an underserved community.
Provide outpatient primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
Conduct examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and develop individualized care plans
Order and interpret diagnostic testing
Prescribe medications and provide preventive health education
Assist with emergency department coverage as part of the provider schedule
Evaluate and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
Coordinate transfers when patients require a higher level of care
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, emergency personnel, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the healthcare team
Maintain a broad scope of practice in a supportive rural environment
