Mezz Picker

A "Mezz picker " (Mezzanine picker) at the Newark Electronics distribution hub in Gaffney, SC, walks or uses carts/scanners on the warehouse mezzanine levels to pull, sort, and accurately gather small electronic parts and technology products to fulfill customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking: Read pick lists or use RF/voice scanners to locate specific tech items stored on the mezzanine levels.

• Item Verification: Check part numbers, quantities, and product codes to ensure total accuracy.

• Batch Sorting: Place picked items into designated totes, bins, or carts for routing to packing.

• Cross-Training: Rotate to different warehouse functions (packing, receiving, or shipping) as daily production needs shift.

• Safety & Maintenance: Keep the mezzanine work zones clean, follow all safety rules, and report inventory issues. [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ]

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach during long shifts.

• Lifting: Safely lift and move up to 30–50 lbs.

• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on matching part numbers precisely to avoid shipping errors.
