Warehouse Inventory Scanner

• Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule Rotation: 2-2-3 schedule
• Pay: $20.00/hour

Position Overview: A growing manufacturing/warehouse employer in the North Austin Area is looking for two dependable temporary associates to support an inventory scanning project within its warehouse operations.

This is primarily a scanning and basic computer/data-entry position, not a forklift or heavy material-handling role.

Responsibilities

• Scan finished products and inventory throughout the warehouse
• Enter and verify inventory information in the company's computer system
• Help track finished goods as they are received, staged, and prepared for shipment
• Ensure scanned inventory information is captured accurately
• Walk throughout the warehouse as needed to complete scanning assignments
• Perform limited handling of finished products when necessary
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Communicate inventory discrepancies or issues to warehouse leadership

Requirements

• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Comfortable learning and using handheld scanning equipment
• Ability to work a 12-hour overnight shift starting from 7pm - 7am CT on 2-2-3 rotating schedule, including alternating weekends.
• Dependable transportation and strong attendance
• Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout the warehouse during the shift
• Ability to lift up to approximately 35 lbs. as needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and dependable work history

Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required.

Forklift experience is not required for this assignment. Candidates with previous forklift experience are welcome, but these employees will not be responsible for operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment as part of this assignment.

Work Environment

• Active warehouse environment - not climate controlled but working the night shift
• Finished consumer products are stored and staged throughout the facility
• No manufacturing work will be performed as part of this assignment
• No company driving required
• No power tools or production machinery will be operated

PPE / Safety - Required PPE will be provided by the client and may include:

• Safety glasses, safety vest, gloves and earplugs as applicable
• Employees must have Closed-toe shoes. Steel-toe shoes are not required.

What We're Looking For - The biggest priorities for this role are attendance, dependability, and attitude. The ideal candidates will consistently report to work on time, communicate appropriately, and be reliable throughout the assignment. This is a straightforward project, but the overnight 12-hour schedule requires someone who is comfortable working nights and can commit to the full schedule.
