The Role
Working closely with the Partners and senior leadership team, responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the Edinburgh office.
- Supporting the delivery of the firm's strategic and commercial objectives.
- Leading and developing business support teams to ensure a consistently high standard of service.
- Reviewing and improving operational processes, systems and efficiencies.
- Supporting compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Working collaboratively with finance, HR, IT and marketing functions to ensure the effective running of the practice.
- Assisting with budgeting, resource planning and operational reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting business growth.
- Fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing working culture.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Legal Practice Manager, Practice Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership role within a law firm.
- A strong understanding of legal practice management and the operational requirements of a professional services business.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to balance competing priorities whilst maintaining exceptional standards.
- Salary of £60,000 - £75,000, depending on experience.
