Network Engineer – Enterprise Infrastructure & Security

Are you an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in enterprise networking, firewall administration and infrastructure support? We are looking for a hands-on professional to join our client's team, supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure while ensuring high availability, operational stability and security.

Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Operations

• Administer, configure and maintain HPE Aruba networking and HPE Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches.
  
  
• Manage VLANs, trunking, switching and network connectivity.
  
  
• Perform proactive network monitoring, health checks, maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
  
  
• Troubleshoot network and storage connectivity issues to ensure operational stability.
  
  

Network Security & Compliance

• Administer and monitor Check Point firewalls, including firewall policies, access control lists (ACLs), NAT and security rules.
  
  
• Investigate and resolve network and firewall-related incidents.
  
  
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement remediation measures and apply CIS hardening standards.
  
  
• Support security audits and compliance requirements.
  
  

Incident Management & Automation

• Manage infrastructure incidents, service requests, changes and root cause analyses.
  
  
• Leverage Ansible automation to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
  
  
• Drive process improvements, standardisation and infrastructure reliability.
  
  

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  
  
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in enterprise network infrastructure.
  
  
• Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba networking, HPE ToR switches and Check Point firewalls.
  
  
• Strong understanding of VLANs, trunking, routing, firewall policies and ACL management.
  
  
• Experience in network troubleshooting, incident management, change management and problem resolution.
  
  
• Knowledge of CIS hardening and experience with Ansible automation.
  
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage operational activities independently.
  
  

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Linux administration and Windows Active Directory.
  
  
• Red Hat OpenShift.
  
  
• HPE storage platforms and HPE DL servers.
  
  
• Broader enterprise infrastructure and security environments.
