About the Role
As part of the Engineering Services team, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery to ensure operational reliability and minimise downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Troubleshooting automated equipment
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing spare parts and maintenance records
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to maximise equipment performance
The position operates on a 4-week rotating roster, including a mix of:
- Morning shifts
- Evening shifts
- One weekend day
- Participation in an on-call roster
Experience with automated equipment, production lines, conveyors, or industrial maintenance systems will be highly regarded.
You'll ideally bring:
- A mechanical or electrical trade qualification, or equivalent industry experience
- EST or EWRB registration/licensing (strongly preferred)
- 5+ years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, production, automation, or high-speed processing operations
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience working with live operational machinery and automated equipment
- Good computer literacy, including exposure to programming, automation, instrumentation, or maintenance management systems
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and reliability-centred maintenance principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
- A collaborative, team-focused attitude with a strong commitment to safety
