Payroll Officer - to commence immediately!

An established organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their collaborative payroll team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, confidently manage business-as-usual payroll processing, and support a friendly team environment.

Working within a high-volume payroll environment, you'll be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting the wider payroll function.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of business-as-usual payroll
• Interpretation and application of the SCHADS Award
• Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
• Managing leave, superannuation and payroll reconciliations
• Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers
• Maintaining payroll data integrity and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
• Supporting the payroll team during busy processing periods

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in a Payroll Officer position within a medium to large organisation
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and processing payroll under the SCHADS Award 
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Availability to commence immediately
