About the Role

As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, subcontractors and clients, you will lead site operations across a range of childcare centres, commercial developments and civil infrastructure projects throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations from project commencement through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to programme.
• Monitor construction quality and ensure all work complies with project specifications.
• Enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Coordinate deliveries, plant, equipment and materials.
• Monitor project progress and report on site performance.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Assist with project scheduling and short-term programming.
• Ensure compliance with Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, reports and daily diaries.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Foreman or Leading Hand delivering commercial construction projects.
• Experience delivering childcare centres, commercial developments and/or civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience working for a Tier 1 builder will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with experience working for Tier 2 builders or reputable commercial construction companies.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and local construction practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of Queensland building codes, construction methodologies, compliance requirements and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Current White Card.
• Current Driver Licence.
• First Aid Certificate (desirable).
