Our Whanganui based client is seeking a permanent, full-time Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our dynamic Emergency Department team from March 2026 (start date flexible).
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical diagnosis and treatment in an acute setting.
- Participate in departmental meetings, teaching junior staff, and maintaining your own education and research.
- Work on a six-week rotating roster, averaging 40 hours per week, including a 30% non-clinical component for research, education, and leadership activities.
- Early: 07:30 – 15:30
- Mid: 11:00 – 19:00
- Late: 16:00 – 00:00 (on-call 00:00 – 07:30)

- 9 Consultants/SMOs
- 12 RMOs, including 3 ED Registrars
- Dedicated ED nursing staff and strong multidisciplinary support.
