About the role:
In this role, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering significant infrastructure initiatives across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake high level planning to develop the current packages for implementation with school and early childhood communities across Queensland
- Lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of project and program delivery including financial and human resources, initial planning, construction and commissioning of multiple complex project
- Lead and report against key sub-programs and significant projects within the Department’s Investment Program.
- Develop, maintain and monitor critical relationships with clients, stakeholders and service providers
- Contribute to the continuous improvement agendas, including the development of business plans and processes to promote best practice
- Provide high level support to unit managers by retaining an interest in creating, maintaining, renewing and improving built environments for the benefit of end users.
- Prepare coherent and politically sensitive reports, correspondence and submissions to key stakeholders and clients.
- Provide advice and guidance to other staff including administration and financial teams.
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Infrastructure Delivery Manager or similar position
- Experience in the coordination and delivery of complex building, infrastructure or capital works projects
- Strong project management skills, maintaining a clear focus on broader program objectives
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to identify opportunities for better ways of working and contributing to continuous improvement
- Ability to remain focused and effective in environments involving competing priorities, ambiguity and change, whilst making considered, ethical and well-informed decisions
- Ability to build enduring relationships and working collaboratively with clients, communities, service providers and internal stakeholders.
What this role offers you
- Initial 2-year contract, with potential for extension
- Up to $107 per Hour + 12% Superannuation
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Brisbane CBD office, with hybrid WFH flexibility
