Head of Finance

EMEA Recruitment is working with a confidential international organisation to recruit a Head of Finance based in Switzerland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance leader to take ownership of accounting, reporting, controlling, and treasury activities within a global environment. Leading a small finance team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insight, ensuring strong governance, and driving continuous improvement across finance operations.

Fluency in both German and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial accounting, reporting, and closing activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and performance analysis. 
• Provide financial insight and support to senior leadership to aid strategic decision-making. 
• Manage relationships with auditors, advisors, banks, and key stakeholders. 
• Ensure robust internal controls, governance, and compliance processes are maintained.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team while driving process improvement initiatives. 

Candidate Profile

• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. 
• Professional accounting qualification preferred. 
• Significant finance leadership experience within an international business environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and/or local GAAP.
• Experience across financial reporting, controlling, treasury, and business partnering. 
• Proven people management and stakeholder engagement skills. 
• Fluent German and English language skills.
