DETAILS:
  • Hybrid position based in Charlotte, NC
  • Three days per week onsite
  • Work will be performed across two Charlotte-area locations
  • Frequent travel to operational locations throughout a multi-state territory
  • Should be comfortable with 50% or more travel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead multiple workforce training and operational-readiness initiatives from strategy through implementation and continuous improvement
  • Own project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, status reporting, and deliverables
  • Translate operational priorities into structured training and workforce-development plans
  • Serve as the primary liaison between field operations, business leaders, technical SMEs, and instructional-development teams
  • Coordinate curriculum development while dedicated instructional designers lead detailed ADDIE and course-development activities
  • Drive change management, communications, and adoption across field technicians, frontline leaders, and senior leadership
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, establish accountability, and maintain momentum across teams and locations
  •  Present program strategy, progress, risks, recommendations, and outcomes to leadership
  • Identify training gaps, operational impacts, cost-saving opportunities, and improvements to program effectiveness
  • Measure workforce readiness, adoption, and results, adjusting plans as priorities or project conditions change
  • Demonstrate ownership, sound judgment, and independent decision-making throughout execution
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Strong project or program management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven ownership of training, workforce-readiness, or change initiatives from strategy through rollout and adoption
  • Strong storyteller who can translate technical or operational information for field employees, business leaders, and executives
  • Experience connecting operational leaders and SMEs with instructional-design or curriculum-development teams
  • Skilled in managing budgets, schedules, resources, risks, competing priorities, and stakeholder expectations
  • Experience implementing new programs or processes across a distributed, technical, or safety-sensitive workforce
  • Background in construction, electrical, lighting, utilities, power, infrastructure, field services, manufacturing, or telecommunications preferred
  • Familiarity with ADDIE or structured training methodologies is helpful; deep instructional-design expertise is not required
  • Bachelor’s or technical degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED with 10+ years
  • Comfortable working independently, making sound decisions, and traveling frequently across a multi-state footprint
