Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minute unpaid lunch)
Pay: $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

Responsible for operating and overseeing de-nesting and associated production machinery to ensure safety and efficiency in production processes. Key duties include setting up equipment, making routine adjustments, operating printers, inspecting product quality, and maintaining necessary documentation. The role also involves identifying equipment issues and communicating any mechanical, safety, or quality concerns to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and safely shut down de-nesting and related equipment following standard procedures.
• Manage packaging materials and handle products or materials as part of the production process.
• Ensure the printer is correctly programmed with necessary production information and verify the accuracy of printed details.
• Conduct routine printer adjustments and monitor equipment performance to meet production and quality standards.
• Identify causes of equipment stoppages and troubleshoot routine issues, making minor adjustments as authorized.
• Stop equipment safely and report to supervisors or maintenance for additional support if needed.
• Inspect products and packaging for quality, removing nonconforming materials as per procedures.
• Accurately complete production, quality, downtime, and equipment documentation.
• Communicate any concerns regarding equipment, production, materials, safety, and quality promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capability to identify and report concerns related to product quality, equipment, and safety.
• Basic calculation skills and the ability to accurately record production data.
• Clear communication skills and effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
• Experience in machine operation, manufacturing, food production, or packaging is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required, and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working/Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive handling.
• Capability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance or approved equipment.
• Comfortable working near moving equipment and in variable conditions such as noise, wetness, or temperature changes.
• Adherence to all safety and food safety requirements, including wearing personal protective equipment.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.
