2nd Shift - CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer Sand Lake, MI 2nd shift $24 Job Summary Function independently within the context of day-to-day activities; program and operate 3/5-axis CNC machines to perform precision cutting and machining operations. Quality conscious and detail oriented. What You'll Be Doing • Program and operate 3/5-axis CNC machines to perform cutting operations. • Perform quality checks on machined parts. • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. • Perform repairs where needed. • Set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools as well as specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations. • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. • Follow all safety procedures and wear safety equipment or apparel as required. • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate job activities. • Perform all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including machines, tooling, and workstation. • Overtime is expected. What We're Looking For • Minimum of 5 years of 3/5-axis CNC programming and operating experience. • CNC programming and operating experience with plastic mold injection. • Experience with CAM software; WorkNC preferred. • Experience with FANUC and Heidenhain controls. • Strong knowledge of mathematics, dimensions, and tolerances. • Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers. • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills. • Must possess strong work values, including dependability, honesty, self-confidence, and a positive attitude. • Open-minded and willing to learn Why Join Us?
