Career Concepts is currently seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator for a leading manufacturing company in the Pittsburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating industrial equipment, and being part of a team that values quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment, including CNC plasma cutters, saws, rolls, shears, and drill presses.

• Adjust machine settings to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.

• Load raw materials and monitor machine performance throughout production runs.

• Perform routine equipment inspections, lubrication, and minor maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate maintenance concerns when necessary.

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.

• Complete production reports, maintenance logs, and other required documentation accurately.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have 2+ years of machine operation in fabrication.

• Experience operating industrial equipment such as CNC plasma cutters, saws, shears, drill presses, or similar machinery.

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and measuring tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time

• First shift (7am – 3:30pm)  

• $22+/hr based on experience

• Temp to hire position  

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
