Maintenance Electrician

Our client, a well-established food production company based in South Tipperary, is looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to join their busy engineering team. What you will be doing:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Troubleshooting PLC controlled machinery and automated production lines.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Assisting with equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Completing maintenance records and required documentation.
• Liaising with contractors and suppliers when required.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical trade qualification.
• Previous maintenance experience within a food manufacturing or manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong electrical fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with PLC controlled machinery would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating Days and Evenings shift pattern.
