Clinical Midwife – MGP / Core Midwife | Far North Queensland I'm recruiting experienced Clinical Midwives (CM) and Midwives (MGP/Core) for multiple contracts across Thursday Island, Weipa, and Cooktown.

Multiple Contract Dates Available (August – November 2026)

Locations Available:

  • Thursday Island – CM Core & MGP
  • Weipa – CM MGP & MGP
  • Cooktown – CM MGP, MGP & Clinical Nurse – Maternal & Child Health

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in MGP/Core Midwifery
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)
  • FSEP
  • CTG competency
  • Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation
  • MEP Advanced (or equivalent)
  • Recent birthing experience
Highly Desirable

  • Epidural competency
  • Willingness to participate in portfolio and audit management as a senior staff member
