We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a growing organisation and take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations for a diverse workforce on an initial Fixed-Term Contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex payroll requirements, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
- Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and relevant legislation
- Manage payroll compliance obligations, including superannuation, payroll tax, workers compensation, and leave entitlements
- Complete payroll reconciliations, reporting, and payroll-related journals
- Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
- Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll system administration
- Respond to employee and stakeholder payroll queries
- Ensure compliance across multiple states and jurisdictions
- Proven experience in a Senior Payroll Officer or similar payroll position
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
- Experience processing complex payrolls in a high-volume environment
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Experience with FIFO workforce payrolls
- Experience working with Enterprise Agreements
