Apply directOur client, a well-established Irish main contractor, is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team on a residential development in Galway County.
This is a predominantly site-based position, working closely with the site management team while reporting to the Commercial Manager based from the company's Galway City office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial delivery of the project, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle while working within an established and supportive team.
With a strong pipeline of residential and public sector developments secured across the West of Ireland, this position offers excellent long-term career prospects and the opportunity to progress within a growing contractor.
Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of the residential development.
- Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Administer PWC and RIAI forms of contract.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow.
- Procure subcontractor packages and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Manage subcontractor valuations, payments and final accounts.
- Attend commercial and site meetings with key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate commercial and contractual documentation.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- 2+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in Ireland or the UK.
- Main contractor experience highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of PWC and RIAI contracts.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and variations.
- Good commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Cubit experience advantageous.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
