Temporary Assignment | Raymond Terrace, NSW
Up to $54.00 per hour casual rate
35 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Assignment through to 23 March 2027

About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced and community-focused Events, Arts & Culture Officer to join their team on a temporary basis through to March 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of community events, arts initiatives, and placemaking activities that enhance community connection and create vibrant public spaces.

Reporting to the Events, Arts & Culture Lead, you will play a key role in coordinating civic events and supporting a range of community, economic development, arts, and placemaking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of civic and community events.
  • Support the delivery of arts, culture, placemaking, and community engagement programs.
  • Work closely with community groups, event organisers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to organisers delivering events on public land.
  • Assist with event approvals, planning processes, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including road closures, amenities, power supply, waste management, food vendor requirements, sound management, and amusement devices.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of safe, sustainable, and inclusive events.
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience coordinating events, festivals, community projects, or cultural programs.
  • Strong knowledge of event operations, planning, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience providing advice and support to event organisers and community groups.
  • Well-developed communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
